The Kiwis (Actinidia deliciosa) Anatomy is an animation with the main purpose of gathering information about a specific fruit.
The process of working consists of three main stages:
1.Visual and theoretical research upon the selected subject
2.Sketches of the fruit and of its anatomy
3.Written storyline and depicting the storyboard (WIP-as the creation of the storyboard depends on the way the storyline changes, influencing one another)
4.Final moodboard and color palette (WIP)
As it follows, after the first step, the image below shows the base of the visual research. Regarding the facts about the kiwi, notable are the followings:
-Kiwi is native from the Yangtze River (N) in China
-In the beginning of the 20th century, seeds were transported to New Zealand, and in 1910 the first kiwi fruits have been gathered there
-The exportation begins, with UK, then California-U.S.A., where a new vineyard of kiwis is born
-The kiwi bird in New Zealand represents a cultural symbol for the country, as the fruit also became in the 1900.The similarities between the two are striking and amusing
-In 1991, in The Puke(New Zealand), a new laboratory created kiwi arises, called HORT16A, with a new shape, more elegant and a new flavour, sweeter, and a riped golden color
-The core of the kiwi may contain aproximately 1000 seeds.
-Due to the acid found in the not fully riped fruits, kiwi might cause anaphylaxis when consumed in high quantity, fot those who are allergic to the substances in case.
