One More Word is a short, family film festival that features short films that deal with struggles and hardships that any family could relate to. Each film only gives a taste of the conflict however each of them have one thing in common: a lack of communication. The logo's dual representation of a fallen over house and a speech bubble suggests that communication is what is tearing these families apart. Through the three day festival viewers will experience each families conflict and see a flash of what goes on behind each "white picket fence".
The process began with collecting films for the festival. Since the festival is based around family struggles and relationships, each film had to deal with this topic. After finding 12 short films the process continued with developing a logo and title. The title "one more word" is derived from a phrase a parent would say to a child. The phrase was fit into a house shape and fallen over to represent the fallen relationships. The logo is then seen as a speech bubble suggesting that it is the communication that is lacking and causing these families to fall apart. The brand was carried out through a program design, poster design, and animation.
