Royal Enfield Inspired Chainsaw

The Royal Enfield Chainsaw

The Royal Enfield brand finds its roots deep in the past, having retained the same timeless design features for some 50 years. This is a testament to how well the design of these bike’s where at the time, having stood for well over half a century. Following this design ethos the Royal Enfield Inspired chains saw takes on the soft lines, fine detailing, robust mechanical layout and timeless form of the Royal Enfield to produce age old aesthetic with a modern feel.

Design Considerations

A upright mounted motor offers less inertia when cutting, whilst allowing for the force to be utilized to an advantage in vertical cutting. The full power grip gives the user firm control over the weight and power of the chainsaw, offering full support around the body of the saw, aiding in maneuverability and control of the blade when cutting.

The main guard protects the user when cutting, where chainsaw are know to bounce up and maim the user. It acts as a safety break which kills the fly wheel if the saw kicks back towards the user, to avoid any harm to the user. The dead man trigger allows absolute safety whilst in full force cutting. Once the trigger is inactive via letting go of the triger, the engine cuts and the chain stops dead, to prevent any further damager
