Cover art for the Fall 2015 issue of the Generasian magazine (NYU's premier student-run Asian American publication); created with Illustrator and Photoshop.
As soon as our team decided that this issue's theme would be "Voices," I knew immediately that I wanted to create a simple, but emotive piece that would effectively show just how powerful the various "voices" of the Asian American community at NYU can be in tandem. I think this piece - with its crisp lines, pigmented colors, and obvious pop art influences - does pack quite a punch. The speech bubble that houses the "Voices!" exclamation, with lines thicker than those of the rest, is overlaid atop its lightly-lined counterparts to evoke a sense of urgency and to convey the speaker's desire to be heard.
