Red Dress Project

This project was for the American Heart Association, who challenged us to create a red evening dress to be shown at their annual fundraising gala in Philadelphia. I was inspired initially by the Golden Gate Bridge, specifically the detail in the structure and the flow it had, despite it being a solid structure. I wanted my dress to be just as statuesque, with details drawn from early 1930's art deco architecture, but still having movement and skimming the body just as a classic bias cut evening gown should.
