Growing with your involvement
Community seeds was a Commonwealth Bank initiative to give six grass-roots community organisations the opportunity to share in a donation pool of over $175,000. For every vote that was cast on Facebook, the Commonwealth Bank donated $1 on your behalf.
As each charity received a donation their seedling would grow - charting their progress in the campaign. Each user who voted also planted their own unique seedling which grew as their friends became involved, gradually showing their influence as part of the community.
My involvement in the campaign was to develop the Flash module used to grow the seedlings. Each of the seedlings required its own unique growth pattern that would continue to develop each time a user's influence grew. The seedlings would progressively animate through their growth cycle each time the page was viewed.
