Blog - from the ink blotter to the illustrator

A minimalistic design approach

I wanted to redo my portfolio-website. Because I happen to have already this portfolio here at behance, I decided to do a blog instead. A blog about how I would become an illustrator. I didn't want to make a design with a lot of features and "noise", so I just started with the slogan. "Von der Tintenkleckserin zur Illustratorin", which is "From the ink blotter to the illustrator" in english.
Because there would be enough images in the articles I choose a typographic logo and a minimalistic design. The ink blots demonstrate the content of the slogan and add some individuality to an otherwise pretty sterile site.
I designed the whole page in Illustrator and used a template of the 960 grid system page. Afterwards I could just implement it with the 960 grid system (basic CSS given) and add the things needed by Drupal 7, the CMS I am using.
