Tammy Brown's profile

Arlington Community Network

Created as a local-economy initiative for Arlington, Massachusetts, ACN needed a brand for its project launch. With input from other Board members, I created the logo and graphic components used throughout all print and web materials. I provided photography to reflect Arlington's businesses, history, and town culture, and I created a promotional package for member businesses. For town residents, I created a "buy local" incentive card for those who signed up on ACN's member site.
My main role was creating a monthly Town Calendar, distributed to member businesses and given free to town residents. The calendar featured timely content about Arlington's economy and business culture, along with articles and a large monthly calendar. I managed all aspects of the Town Calendar, including content, layout, and production.

Infographics created for the business-member brochure (shown below), illustrating the importance of local economic support.
Outside spread for the member-business brochure. The inside spread is below.
The monthly Town Calendar was a 17 x 22 sheet folded to a finished 8.5 x 11 size. Above is the outside and inside spreads; below is the fully unfolded 17 x 22 calendar, created each month with data submitted by Arlington businesses and organizations.
The July 2010 edition of the Arlington Town Calendar, outside and inside spreads. The unfolded 17 x 22 calendar had the same layout each month.
I designed the initial website layout for Arlington Community Network. The site itself was dynamic, driven by content submitted by members. This image is the dummy layout used by the Web design team to create the site.
