Mitsubachi is a craft beer that will soon be launched into the Australian market. The makers are based in Australia but have used a traditional Japanese recipe that has been handed down through generations of Japanese beekeepers. This beer is handmade and only produced in small batches. The Mitsubachi Honey Infused Wheat Beer appeals to a discerning beer drinker who enjoys a high quality drop and is different to other beers on the market.
To convey the unique ingredients and origin of the recipe, I used hand printed lino carvings to form a honeycomb pattern that sits subtly in the background. The amber colour of the beer and honey was introduced into the colour palette and supported by masculine black tones.
This identity has been applied to the Mitsubachi packaging and a promotional coaster.
