Cendrillon (Cinderella) is a new restaurant-bar located in the Limoilou district in Quebec City. A place that honors the restaurant of the same name and who has won the hearts of the inhabitants of Limoilou in the 50s. Figure has been mandated to develop the visual identity of the restaurant. The objective was to create an identity that combines the history of the old Cendrillon to the one of a masculine and contemporary restaurant. Our solution was to design all the communication tools with the notion of revival and the passing of time, imagining what would be the character of Cinderella if it was a man. Some old-style visual elements have been updated to reinforce this concept and to demonstrate the desire for reinvention and the new vision of the institution.
Le Cendrillon est un nouveau restaurant - buvette situé dans le quartier Limoilou à Québec. Une buvette nouveau genre qui rend hommage au restaurant du même nom et qui a conquis le coeur des habitants de Limoilou dans les années 50. Figure a été mandaté pour développer l’identité visuelle du restaurant. L’objectif était de créer une identité alliant l’histoire de l’ancien Cendrillon à celle d’une buvette masculine et actuelle. Notre solution fut de concevoir tous les outils de communication avec la notion de revival et du temps qui passe, en imaginant ce que représenterait le personnage de Cendrillon s'il était un homme. Certains éléments visuels de style ancien ont été actualisés pour renforcer ce concept et pour démontrer le désir de réinvention et la nouvelle vision de l’établissement.
