A whole new way to build websites

Before we could start to rebuild the iupui.edu website, we had to forget everything we knew about building websites in the IU ecosystem.

Why?

Because the digital landscape had undergone a revolution and our websites didn't have what it took to make it in the new world order.

So we started over.  And we dared to dream big. So big, in fact, that our developers were't sure that they could make them reality (but they did).

We created a brand new framework. One that was created for a mobile-first, content-centric model. One that let us focus on the story we wanted to tell—and tell it well. One that kicked the butt of every other higher ed website framework out there (if I don't say so myself).

It was a team effort. One that started with a content strategy and brand analysis, continued with many a passionate argument about  everything from SEO concerns to font sizes, and ended in success.

The resulting website drastically reduced bounce rates, increased time on site, and improved our users' experience. It won a bronze award from the Pride of Case V. And its framework provided the foundation for the new IU web ecosystem.
