Every year the National level Bible Quiz competition is held at a major city in the United States, with a branding based on something that makes that city so great. Previous years include Chicago, Orlando, Phoenix, and Columbus. All pretty big names. 

 

This year was Springfield, Missouri. There is not much going on in Springfield in terms of "iconic", but what it does have is that it was the birthcity of Route 66. This theme has been expunged time ang again, so I wanted to stay clear of that, while still tipping my hat to it. Luckily I live in Springfield, so I was able to get more than just what the internet says about it, but actually delve into what kind of culture it has. 

 

Springfield is home to innumerable flea markets and antique shops, so I decided to play off the old-midwesterny vibes it has.
