Magazine Article Illustration

This project was created as part of a student assessment piece aimed at developing and showcasing skills in photo-manipulation and compositing.

The aim for this project was to select a health issue for a hypothetical health magazine, then create an image based on that issue. This image would then be included as part of a basic magazine mock article.

The above images were created from free stock photos (see bottom for credit) and composited in Photoshop. The colours and the warped effects were used to represent a transition in mood: from bright and lively to dull, sad.
A massive thank you to Graphic Crew for their fantastic magazine mock-up! This mockup can be found on Creative Market here
The bright 'Drink Water!' image isn't officially part of the assessment - it wanted to practice my digital painting skills and so created a generic health advertisement/campaigns that government or corporate bodies place into magazines (i.e. "Eat your 2 and 5 a day", "Find an Accredited Practising Dietitian"). I went with water consumption because I certainly don't drink enough of the clear stuff.
