Inspiration
Got inspired to do this project after browsing IMDB, I came across "Ex Machina" and "iRobot" and really loved the Sci-Fi aspect of AI. But both weren't exactly how I would imagine "humanoids", so I made my own impression of it.
This is the first piece I have done in ages and which I could focus on.
Stock
Found this gem, really worked for my theme since the subject is bald and has a straight look without much emotion.
Final Piece
To achieve the "humanoid" aspect of it I had to make the subject look less human. So I gave the subject a glossy finish and intense eyes. To further help the cause I went for a white/light grey background to simulate a lab which got intensified with the black rubber tubes connected to the back of the subjects head in combination with the vapor/smoke surrounding him.
