Alphabet Soup Crackers

When my wife was sick during her pregnancy this summer, the doctor suggested she eat bland foods such as saltine crackers. While making lunch, I noticed an opportunity to transform this "bland" food. I imagined the grid—apparent in the holes of these crackers—as the perfect canvas for designing an uppercase set of alphabetical characters. Each cracker was hand-stitched before being photographed, giving a whole new meaning to the idea of playing with one's food.
