A Living Unicorn | The Rhinoceros
The rhino is well-known for its main characteristic, its horn, which over recent years has lead to the near extinction of the all five rhino species. I found myself immersed in this topic when I realised how bad things were really getting for this living unicorn. 749 rhinos have been poached since the 29th of August, 2015, which shows how current the issue really is. This project focuses on creating empathy for the rhinos' critical situation in a way that could create an emotional response. Through five rhino heads which depict each rhino species, two books - one with a focus on conservation and one with a focus on poaching and an A1 infographic poster I was able to achieve this.
