The following logo was created for ShowHow2's B2B service, Knowledge Bridge, which provides dynamic, interactive video-based solutions for team training in our digital age. You can read more about their services here: www.knowledgebridge.in/
The client also requested an inverse version of the logo:
My original sketches played with the idea of the bridge:
This led to integrating the shape of the bridge with that of the human brain. I used a geometric/prismatic style for the bottom half of the brain to suggest that Knowledge Bridge's is not the traditional type of learning platform--it's dynamic and edgy!
Next, I considered alternative ways to express the concept of knowledge and thought--particularly, along the line of "ideas". This led to the lightbuldb design, where filament imitates the shape of a bridge.

In parallel to this, I also considered elaborating on the concept of "unlocking" ideas; here the lock would double as the arch for a bridge, while the keyhole would appear as an "i", for information. Together, this could suggest an "unlocking of information".
As I continued down this line, I sought new ways of simpfying the form of the bridge by using lines and playing with negative spaces.
This ultimately led to the simple arch bridge idea--which formed the basis of the final logo. I wanted the bridge to appear as though it is moving forward, and sought to create a sense of perspective by using simple lines and shapes.

These are some of the preliminary ideas:
The final logo not only emphasizes the bridge (both graphically and textually), but also places focus on the term "edge" as found within the work "knowledge". This additionally suggests that Knowledge Bridge offers a competitive edge to its clients:
