P is for Pussy is a raunchy alphabet picture book written by Elissa Blount Moorhead and illustrated/designed by me. It is a book of double entendres. The book is designed as much for parents as it is for kids. The racy and humorous illustrations contain double meanings which supply learning and fun for the kids and illicit (hidden) laughs for parents.
Last year, in my first semester at MICA's MFA in Illustration Practice, our program director Whitney Sherman introduced my cohort to Elissa for a book illustration assignment. Our brief was to create illustrations for Elissa's text, with the idea of a final illustrated alphabet book that incorporated all of my classmates' illustrations. At the end of the assignment I was lucky enough to have Elissa choose me as the illustrator for the entire book.
I am so proud of P is for Pussy, a book that gave us great joy and pleasure in creating it. I hope you will enjoy the book as much as we do.
