Site Plan
Artist & Art Piece: Andy Goldsworthy

"rearranges natural order, replacing accident and chaos with orderly progression." - Andy Goldsworthy
"you see something that was there before; that was always there but you were blind to." - Andy Goldsworthy

Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy's piece, the floor plans of the building were created by bringing the chaos out of Los Angeles and localizing it in the building through a map.

The map exhibits three support systems within Los Angeles County- Hospitals, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Al-Anon, that have been inspired  by recovering addicts and their families on the road to recovery.

Map Design Stage 1: Localizing the support groups within Los Angeles County

Map Design Stage 2: Creating a map of the support groups in 3 of Los Angles's main cities- Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, and Culver City

... As well as a map from the building to all of the support groups
Map Design Stage 3: Laying out the map on the floor plans of the building

Map Design 4: Distinguishing which support systems are each floor level
