The Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre opened in 2015. Located on the traditional territory of the Musqueam people, the building showcases the collective achievements of local communities, both past and present. The Alumni Center strives to be a place for the kinds of intellectual and social exchange that give rise to new ideas, friendships, and opportunities.
While working with Letterbox Design I contributed to this project by developing comprehensive signage plans and specifications. The signage system echoes and reinforces the aims of the Alumni Centre both obliquely through complementary materials and design as well as directly through narrative story boards recounting the history of the land upon which the UBC campus now stands and the achievements of the communities that have lived there.
