Attributes of downtown Istanbul were identified, which determined the constraints & size of the map. The overall layout and city streets were then sketched on watercolor paper.
Local distinct features and landmarks were resaearched to determine a color palette representative of the locale.
Galata Bridge & Atatürk Bridge, alternatively known as the Unkapanı Bridge, expanding over the Golden Horn waterway.
Fatih district - Sirkeci neighborhood - featuring Gülhane Park.
Fatih district - Laleli & Kumkapı neighborhoods - facing North.
View of Beyoğlu district - Karaköy & Tophane neighborhoods - toward the Golden Horn (Haliç) waterway and Fatih district.
