In June 2015, the responsive hero images project I worked on at @Walmartlabs (for Walmart.com) helped Walmart become one of the first ecommerce giants to become fully responsive. And in September, I had the honor of sharing the stage with my coworker Olawale Oladunni (for Walmart Grocery), sharing our case studies of how we got the work done on a short timeframe.

Creating images that work across multiple device breakpoints is difficult. As designers at @Walmartlabs, we’ve faced this challenge at an enormous scale. We learned that, beyond technical details, there are a host of factors that determine a successful outcome. We’ll share solutions that helped our teams adapt their current processes to execute quickly.
