FootClick (Product Prototype)

'FootClick' was a project I completed in a small group in the second year of university. We had to tackle a problem from an ergonomic perspective and chose to focus our interest at creating a product for people with disabilities. Some members of the group researched various disabilities and their implications, deciding to design an aid for computer use for people missing hands or arms through accident or deformity.

These are some of the initial sketches I made of ideas to tackle this problem.
The above scan shows initial ideas around getting full computer functions (mouse, click and scroll) using just the feet. Trying to keep it simple and using the least amount of strain possible.
When we decided on the foot operated mouse and click-pad set up I began on making the prototype (initial design above) and the others continued research and used CAD programs to create the final design.
