A project from Design Comm 2 in Summer of '08
While still at SAC I was taking some summer classes to hurry up and graduate as fast as I could. I was given a class taught by one of my favorite teachers ever name Mr. Smith. This project involved going to a store, getting some cheap product that was in serious need of a logo redesign, and I ended up at the 99 cent store, and I bought a light bulb by a company called K-Lite. This logo is the effort of several days of constant tweaking. I will also include the business card, letterhead, and envelope originals as well as some refreshing of them. I did also construct a replacement packaging design at the last minute which turned out fantastic.
Final Version as of 2012.
Before expanding the outlines and applying the spot color.
I have to start somewhere right? This is amongst the very first initial illustrations in Illustrator.
This is the point where I started to see where this logo could really go with adding the lines for the shining effect.
This is when i realized I could use the type in a more effective approach.
