A new vineyard wanted two labels designed for two new varieties of wine. They wanted the label design and personality to represent the history that inspired the two varieties.
I had been studying with the typographer John Baskerville. The type style named after Baskerville is known for its simple and classic look. I decided to create two wine labels using this typeface. The concept and theme of the wine labels would represent the life and death of the famous type designer.
