Trick-Treat is a play on the phrase "Trick or Treat". Gastly is holding a carton of eggs for any possible trick, while Haunter is holding a bag of candy from people that have given them candy. Gastly's gaze is towards the viewer, warning them that if you dont give them treats, you will get tricked. I imagine Haunter is laughing at its previous triumphs to get sweets.
