A copy of the waveform image was transferred to Rhinoceros and cut into the surface of adjacent models.
As always, physical tolerances relevant to 3D printing, casting, and metal finishing processes were carefully
observed while cutting the pattern into the model. Surface curvature was a factor.
Shortly after being 3D printed and cast in a precious alloy of 18K palladium-white gold. The first few passes with
hand tools have been made but the metal surfaces remain very rough and bear the marks of the prinitng and
casting processes as well as heavy cutting files and rotary tools.
Nearly done. Polished interior, satin exterior with a rougher level where the waveform has been cut out.
His and hers bespoke wedding bands are ready to wear.
The waveform image is visible in full only when the rings are paired. The image was created by the bride and
groom simultaneously speaking into a microphone to say "I do".
