Curitiba is not the typical place you would go to feel in Brazil and it's true that the feeling is a bit different from the rest of the country. For me it felt somehow closer to Europe than South America. To live in, Curitiba is one of the better cities, it's well organized and has many parks and green spaces for people to enjoy. The Botanical Garden is one and it has, since its opening in 1991, become something of a landmark for the city. As a visitor I was not allowed to miss it and I was lucky enough to go there during an afternoon when the sky was particularly beautiful.
