Colour Description
Green: New growth and the rich tea Kenya Produces
Black: The people of Kenya
Yellow :The glowing sun adds a touch of clor and signifies integrity and resilience

The idea behind the logo was lifted from the original TBK Logo however more emphasis was placed on the origin of the tea. The Logo clearly illustrates what the board is involved in; the elements of the logo, i.e. the tea picker, the outline of Kenya and the tea leave all simulate the process it takes to produce and provide high quality tea to the markets TBK target. The idea is that the tea is picked straight out of Kenya and thus gives all drinkers a taste of Kenya, the logo is stylized from the early stages of tea production, the actual picking of the leaf. It is a symbolic representation of the overall mission of TBK with great emphasis on its foundation and purpose and people.

The tea picker pays homage to the actual pickers of the tea as they are an integral part of the process as well as illustrates that the board carries Kenya to the world. The tea leaf adds a new dimension to the long familiar official logo, it is both functional and artistic.

The bag the tea leaf carrier has on her back symbolizes that she is carrying a precious product of Kenya, hence that bag was designed to look like she is carrying Kenya itself. This could be said too of TBK as it represents Kenya in the tea industry internationally and locally. The sun adds a touch of color and enhances the beauty of the logo and symbolizes resilience and integrity.

The tagline ‘A taste of Kenya’ works well with the logo as it depicts an element of Kenya being lifted out of its belly and into our tea cups. This allows Kenyans to have a sense of pride when enjoying the brew as well as allow international drinkers an opportunity to travel to Kenya with their taste buds!
The choice of color are not only attractive but illustrate the color of Kenya, and the color of the taste of Kenya.
