Tambor is a passion-driven importer and distributor based in Hawaii, dedicated to delivering high quality organic açaí to Hawaii, California, Puerto Rico and Japan.
Tambor needed a branded piece to showcase in local cafes, featuring an appealing illustration of an açaí bowl on the Amazon background (where the berry is from in Brazil) and large and straightforward copy visible from a distance.

Tambor needed a branded piece to showcase in local cafes, featuring an appealing illustration of an açaí bowl on the Amazon background (where the berry is from in Brazil) and large and straightforward copy visible from a distance.

Tambor is a small company and they like to keep a clean and simple image, but with a certain liveliness. According to these principles, we went through quite a process to create the right visual for the bowl, starting first from a more naïve and flat feeling through a 3D and quite refined illustration, until ending with a pretty successful middle ground, sophisticated yet iconic at the same time.
For too long deforesting industries have stripped the Amazon of its precious resources while displacing native tribes and leaving countless animal, insect, and plant species extinct. Harvesting açaí has now become a sustainable alternative to local citizens and investing industries.
