Lasten Kaupunki - Children's city
Childrens city - happening was organised on the 12th on June 2011 as a part of Helsinki-day, a celebrations of the citys birthday. In addition to giving children a fun day and a possibility to show what they would want a city to be like, people working within the city planning department and in desicion-making positions were invited to take part. The idea was to get childrens voices heard in the desicion-making process that shapes our city into what it is.I was responsible of communication and relations to the Helsinki city planning department and the university of Helsinki Geography department, I also organised the acquisitioin of materials and was a a part of the team that controlled things happening on the day itself.
