Design Brief: To touch up the existing videofluroscopy chair where a child car seat is mounted on the motor structure for a functional seating.

Styling choice: A bobble, bubble approach that wraps around the children to give them a sense of security. Cushions are also made with meshes as they ventilates heat while allowing the child is sink into the seat to prevent them from slid off.

Videofluoscopy Chair - A seat for children with cerebal palsy to seat on while undergoing a medical examination the called    'Videofluoroscopy'.

 

Videofluoscopy - A medical procedure where modified barium is swallowed by patients while being scanned by x-ray to check for irregularities in muscles during swallowing.

 

Movable parts mock-up (Using formboard and yellow tape)

Life sized 2D cut-outs pasted on the board for dimension and size referencing.

Form board are hot glued together while reference paper are sticked onto the surface of the parts. Parts are subsequently trimmed with hot wire.

Parts are crafted and permanently fixed together by the use of a hot glue gun.

Structure with motor premade that is ready to be mounted with foam models fabricated to fit.
