Skype ACER China Campaign

Working with ACER, we initially approached the European markets with a simple concept of interaction and reward. After great success, it was also chosen to approach Asia and the Chinese markets. Here we created a simple campaign to celebrate Chinese New Year with the gift of a golden ticket. This would be sent by adding a Skype ID and a simple new year message interaction to receive a response. The Campaign also featured New Year gifts that scaled in reward, with a number of lucky people winning hundreds of Acer Devices.
 
The campaign was supported with a key social influencer from China who then promoted and naturally integrated the opportunity into her social activities on Weibo, the massive Chinese social platform. This was accompanied with paid media placement in Chinese social channels. All this was driven to the app and website to simply take part via the use of Skype — resulting in one of the most successful campaigns created by Skype.
