The Story
 
EP Man was born from ExperiencePoint's rebrand in 2013. I was tasked with a series of illustrations to tell the story of what we do, which would go on our website. After several brainstorms, we determined that a superhero was the best representation of our culture (we have a lot of comic book enthusiasts at ExperiencePoint) as well as who we wanted to help our clients become.
 
 
The Design
 
EP Man's final design doesn't stray far from the first few sketches I came up with. He is a personification of the qualities and values we see in ourselves and our clients: courageous, confident, authentic, and humble.
 
People are sometimes shy or afraid of being judged for their artistic abilities, especially in high pressure work-related situations. EP Man is designed as a stick figure to instill creative confidence in our clients – to take away the expectation of perfection and just let the ideas flow. When they take our workshops, we want to remind them that their input and take-aways are most important.
