Corabastos is one of the biggest wholesale grocery markets in South America, located in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. This places is composed of several giant warehouses where groceries are sold in large quantities. Restaurants, school cafeterias, smaller markets and others go there before 11:00 Am to do their grocery shopping. The warehouses are divided by the type of produce, for example there is a warehouse in which they only sell potatoes, another one where they only sell fruits and an area outside the bigger warehouses where they sell avocados -in Colombia we have at least 4 differents varieties- . Inside each place where something is sold, the vendors have their own unique style of decoration to make it their own; there own personal style. 

 

Corbastos is a place that is worth the visit, as a tourist and a local, because you get to know the culture and the produce of Colombia. It is amazing to be able to see and taste all the different types of fruits and others in huge quantities.
