The Panorama of the European Film is an annual event that showcases award-winning feature and documentary productions from across Europe in Cairo. In 2014, I was commissioned to create a bilingual visual identity including a series of posters, catalogues, film schedules and flyers in order to represent the festival in its cinematic aesthetics and diverse film categories. Arabic calligraphy was created to couple the Latin in order to bring out contrast and uniqueness. Along with boldness, the identity is marked by a minimalist approach that would not over-dominate the strength of images.
