The Whanganui District Council’s Youth Committee’s role is to represent the community’s young people, help develop a strategic direction for the future Whanganui youth, through contributing to the decision-making of the Whanganui District Council on matters of interest for youth in the Whanganui District.
Concept
Producing a professional strategy plan for the Wanganui Youth Council, to clear emit the Organisation’s goals and visions.
The style choice of gender-neutral colours and typefaces were chosen to complement the existing DUB DEE SEE logo, as this is their primary visual identifier for the Youth Council. The combination the colours projects the bright and playful aura, which the committee wants. This was backed up by the use of DUB DEE SEE event imagery throughout the document.
Another significant idea was to visually represent the group’s coming together as individuals, through the cover page's overlapping type texture.
As well, uplifting Icons were also created for the five focus groups, as they needed visual identifiers for use in the index and other Youth Council documents.
