In September 2013, i’d signed up for 3 years at the University of Birmingham. 

Finally, I had the license to do whatever i want.

A chance to challenge and to be challenged. 

An exhilarating sense of independence.

Like-minded students, intellectual curiosity and opportunities that go way beyond education. 

It took just 79 long and illusive days until my mother finally realised that it was time to come home.  

I’d developed a severe anxiety, disabling panic attacks, welcomed depression and a taste for suicide. 

Immediately hospitalised, heavily medicated and totally helpless. I was afraid.

Around the same time, my nan had entered hospital. She was given a few weeks to live. 

At her bedside, she gave the greatest advice. 

Here is an alternative approach to telling that story. 

I have always been interested in theatre. Particularly live storytelling.
