The task was to create a beautiful and innovative publication that showcases the possibilities for fixed layout ePub 3.0 FXL. We had to create an original publication and generate the content ourselves. The emphasis of this assignment was on the collation of quality materials to create a functioning publication showcasing the features of ePub 3.0 FXL, to be viewed in iBooks 1.1.1. This was both a technical exercise and conceptual exercise, they were of equal value and both were necessary. A strong incorporation of design principles was a key element of the assessment. It had to be strongly stylized, and incorporate consistent design and layout.
