The senior seminar project I created was inspired from a personal interest. I chose to revolve this project around bicycle commuting, specifically in the Grand Rapids, MI area. The project is aimed at business owners and employers in the downtown area. A mail out would be sent out to businesses which would include an infographic on the benefits of bicycle commuting and on the other side a bike map of downtown Grand Rapids. This map points out bike friendly areas, hills, busy areas to avoid, bike shops, etc. The infographic and bike map provide people the opportunity to use safe travel options and promote a more bicycle friendly community. The tire tube package was designed as a method to reduce the excuses people have to ride their bike to work.
