Layout and Iconography

Often in designing music gear, the user interface is a flat surface, and trasnlates and/or maps to a number of inputs and outputs.  I've spent time on many different projects to provide users with layouts to reduce error, eyestrain, and frustration.
The VLZ4 layout was inspired by airplane cockpits.  Channels are grouped via columns, and functionality is visually grouped horizontally.
Providing quick- and easy-to-read wiring diagrams like this ensure that the gear is used correctly, and that the user has the best experience possible.  I designed iconography that would be distinct and familiar to loudspeaker users.

I updated the ProFX Mixer line with a more modern and aggressive look, utilizing contrast to reduce eyestrain in low-light situations.  I also introduced Green to tie the products into the Brand Language and Marketing direction.
