Twelve characters—well, technically thirteen, since Gemini are twins—based on the signs of the Western Zodiac.
Some years ago I was inspired by all the Zodiac based artwork on DeviantArt to design my own works based on the theme.
I don't know much about horoscopes or personalities related to people's signs, so I focused more on the items each sign represents. I also tried to be more original—I didn't want to give Aries ram horns or make Pisces a mermaid, so I incorporated the Zodiac theme into more subtle details like hair, clothing, and in some cases the characters' names. And then somehow a multicultural influence found its way in.
