DID Unit 1: The Logo Project

Color:
I designed my logo with the intent of creating a flashy, colorful image, as being colorful instead of black-white is what I believe; ie. I always want to find another solution, instead of it always being found the exact same way. I used the flashy colors because I would rather be interesting than boring. For the gradients, I implemented multiple: One on the hood of the cobra and another for the body. I used gradients because I don’t feel like more than one color describes me; rather instead of one, a blend of characteristics and qualities defines who I am. Also, I used the gradients to get a “new” look; ie. a very youthful, ‘full of energy’ appearence. The smooth greenon top of blue also got this look, and made it stick out somewhat.

Design: First of all, my design’s basic look is that of a king cobra. I feel like that defines who I am because I was born in the Chinese year of the Snake, and also because the King Cobra gives off a feeling of regality and exquisiteness. Also, my initials are written in the body of the cobra in gold, which is one of my favorite colors. It has a perceiving look, as if it were curiously staring at you. I feel that that symbolizes my curiosity and love for learning. Also, it has a proud stance with its hood fully extended. I feel that this symbolizes that I’m not scared to make mistakes, and that I can only learn from those.
