This bookplate was done during my first year of studies, in the module, "History of Graphic Design". The brief was to design a bookplate according to a list of art movement/styles over the centuries, in the history of art and design. (E.g. Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Russian Constructivism ....) The bookplate was up to me to design, there was no topic or titles for it, just that the style got to be of the art movement I chosen.
 
 

I chose Art Nouveau for my bookplate as I would like to explore into some organic, flowy and feminine style in my work. Art Nouveau is a movement popular in the late 80s and early 90s, consisting of elements in natural forms and structures. Often also containing floral and/or woman motifs, giving a touch of elegance in the style.
