This performance space was designed as an outdoor, floor-seated experience. It was inspired by a drop of water and its ripples. The ripples act as a support for the panels above where the audience sits. Seating can be reached by either ramp or stairs (not shown), located at the panel-less center triangle (clear panels used for model purpose only. If built, the clear panels would be replaced with astroturf panels or wood decking). The two circular rooms act as backstage dressing rooms for the performers. The purpose of this class was to explore circulation, creation or space, and hierarchy. This model demonstrates how well I understand and apply the knowledge I gain in class.
