Guerillaz Streetwear - BA Honours Project

GUERILLAZ

Guerillaz is a streetwear clothing brand, the name being chosen by the company to be in line with its philosophy. The brand name originates from the Latin word «guerilla» and can be translated as "Urban guerrilla"; the same revolutionary character is evident in the design of all its clothes gear.
WARNING CAMPAIGN

The Warning Campaign aims to raise the consumers’ awareness on various social and environmental issues. It comprises a series of three posters and six leaflets, while the actions and objectives of the company are thoroughly described in the corporate brochure Guerillaz Handbook. The logo is inspired by road signs giving warning of unforeseen risks and consists a visual reference of the name “The Warning”.
WARNING CAMPAIGN - FAIR TRADE

This poster condemns the exploitation of minors’ labour which Guerillaz opposes to, respecting the working rights of its employees. The central message of the poster is «Against in the form of clothing» (Revolutionary dress code).
Its dimensions are 60 x 60 cm.
WARNING CAMPAIGN - PEAK OIL

Guerillaz criticizes the use of crude oil, which constitutes an environmental threat and stresses that it uses 100% environmentally friendly materials. The central message of the poster is “ Peak oil is a scam”. Its dimensions are 30 x 60 cm.
WARNING CAMPAIGN - BRANDWASHING

The propaganda of the companies and their impact on society is the dominant theme of the poster, aiming to highlight the resistance of Guerillaz to ephemeral fashion (fad). The central message is «Style that fucks shopping therapists» (Style that fights shopaholism). The poster’s dimensions are 30x 60 cm.
GUERILLAZ HANDBOOK

We created a 16-page corporate brochure that contains both, general information about the company and its philosophy, as well as information concerning its activist action. The design of the cover is based on the Guerillaz Cookbook clothes catalogue and its dimensions are 28 x 28 cm.
THE BANG COLLECTION

This brand gear collection, we named “The Bang”, which is a slang phrase used by young people to describe interesting
and stylish wear. The logo has been inspired by a road sign warning for explosions and thus, acting as a visual reference to “The Bang” Collection (onomatopoeic emulation of the blast). The Collection's products are manufactured according to the company standards and bear the appropriate certifications.
GUERILLAZ COOKBOOK

The catalogue of the brand street wear is called Guerillaz CookBook so as to be associated with the various training manuals for urban guerillas. The illustration on the cover refers to a cookbook and is in line with the aesthetics of Guerillaz. Its design is flexible to allow for its future use in other catalogues as well as in a plethora of printed matter of the company.
THE BANG COLLECTION - MAGAZINE ADS

We designed three different illustrations portraying bombs, which we printed in multiple copies and posted in various parts of the city. Then we photographed them so that we could use them as a backdrop in each one of the advertisements. The actual dimension of each “printed bomb” is 90 x 60 cm. The title is WATCH OUT!, which is the slogan of the collection.
GUERILLAZ PACKAGING

The packaging of Guerillaz T-shirts has a dual use. Not only can it be used to contain the company's products, but it can also be transformed into a clothes hanger, simply by folding it. Its design is practical and is in line with the aesthetics of the firm.
The dimensions of this package when closed are 19 x 19 cm.
GUERILLAZ BRAND TAG

To design the brand tag of the company’s clothes, we used the main part of the illustration prepared for the central poster campaign, namely the Warning Campaign. The tag includes the elements of the specific product, the company logo and the logo of the respective collection. Its dimensions are 14 x 6 cm.
