With a passion for mark making, doodling and patterns when given the chance to create a strategy based work for an assignment I knew exactly what to create.  Inspired by old fashioned wallpaper and brought into the contemporary world through the new art of Zentangles and doodling these works are a favourite of mine. 

 

When creating the work I set rules around how long I could spend creating a piece ranging from 20mins to two hours , the types of lines I could use - limiting it to only curves and the range of colours. The risk with creating many works following the same strategy is how to make each one different but it is rewarding to see how different they can be when pushed.  The following is a selection of my finals works.
