Graduation project of the space surrounding residential estate in Warsaw. Majority of the housing estate, which covers an area of 1.77 ha, is situated above the underground garage and has been transformed into a green roof.
The area’s relationship to its immediate surroundings was analysed, including important views into and out of the site, existing routes and access points, and the availability of different space types - private, public and mixed. After conducting series of field studies of the analysed area the facilities' availability and location were identified including potential ways of use.
The design process faced the challenge of reconciling residential development's using areas in different ways and also of the choice of specific plants caused by restriction for thickness of the growing medium.
