Enso Vert composting service

Enso Vert is a service designed for the Lille Design For Change 2015 competition. The competition had 3 topic categories : climate change, mass catering and textile and mobility. We chose the climate change category. The main idea of our service is to create a service that will encourage people to composting process and producing biological fertiliser by utilising organic waste from the households and industries of Lille. In order to succeed this, our proposal is a pleasant everyday activity, that promotes composting, but socialising too, we see parks as meeting points.

Our aim is to "close" the circle of waste. People would totally use their organic waste in order to produce fertiliser.

The name of the service is inspired by the japanese symbol "enso" and the colour green in french, a green balance in Lille.

TARGET GROUP

The target group of the service is divided:

Direct : Citizens of all ages and social status that live permantly in Lille and produce organic waste and wish to improve their city life quality

Indirect : Lille municipality

VISION

/ Each house of the Lille Metropolitan area will totally exploit its organic waste
/ Big industries of the area, that do not already utilise their waste, will embrace this
vision too
/ Gradual elimination of the percentage of organic waste that ends up to landfill
/All citizens will participate in our service
/Our service will be trustworthy and will give the sense of clearness, quality and ecology

PROPOSAL

/ Our goal is the promotion of the service in Lille, and in the future in the whole Metropolitan area
/ The service will cover Lille's needs for organic compost
/ Will embrace the needs and every day habits of the citizens
/ Through a pleasant procedure and interaction with the service, users will have the desire to be active in the service
