Crossing Europe is a documentary film for television and online platforms about Crossing Stages European Project aired on Mexican National Television at Canal 22 International.
Crossing Europe was produced in a dozen of languages from 2013 to 2015 in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and Slovenia. The film follows the process of Crossing Stages European Project, arts program that presents a contemporary view on classic mythology to build bridges of encounter among Europeans.
SYNOPSIS
Crossing Europe is a multicultural portrait of Europe today. Artists embark themselves on a challenging adventure to create together through culture a new community.

Crossing Stages is the story of a group of artists who embark themselves in the multicultural adventure of searching a common culture in Europe today.
Crossing Stages (2013-2015) is an arts project that connects people with classic myths to build cultural links. Coordinated by Spain along with France, Italy, Portugal, and Slovenia, this cutting-edge program was funded with the support of the Culture Program of the European Union.
This interdisciplinary initiative works on Greek mythology through performance, dance, theater, music, film, technology, and visual arts. The main segment of the program took place in 2013-2015 (workshops, lectures, publications, symposiums...), and selected activities have been still in progress for years in several countries.
Besides Crossing Europe (2015, television documentary), the communication team also produced You Are Mythical (2018, transmedia documentary film), and Penelope is Waiting (2015, video installation). and Crossing Stages webseries (2013-2015).

Pedro Valiente worked as director of communication developing a transmedia universe of contents including digital work (webs, social networks), media (feature film, documentary film, videos), art (performance, video art), visuals (photos, illustrations), texts (book, press, essays), and new technology (augmented reality, robotics).
